Life: Foretold and Jesus Followed

Isaiah 35:4 | Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”

Luke 24:46-47 | And he [Jesus] said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations,  beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’

1. What foretelling were there about Jesus’ life and death? 

2. Jesus had the choice to go God’s way or to go His own? Where did going God’s way, or following God’s plan for His life lead Him? 

3. Why did Jesus choose to follow God’s plan, even though it cost Him so much? 

4. What plans does God have for you? How committed are you to God’s ways? 

5. Because Jesus obeyed God, salvation is promised for those who have repented. What does repentant mean? What does a repentant life look like?
