EMPOWERED Patience: with others

Ephesians 4:2 | Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

  • Part of patience is waiting for God to act. But God also asks us to be patience with others. What does being patience with others mean?

  • When is it hard to be patient with people?

  • God was patient with you and still is when you mess up. How can remembering this help you when you need to show patience to others?

  • How is love connected to patience? Do you think it might be easier to be patient by remembering that God wants you to love others? Why or why not?

Colossians 3:12 | Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

  • How can you “clothe” yourself in patience?

  • How will you remember to choose patience when you’re frustrated or too excited to wait?
