Jesus taught to put others first: Strangers, prisoners, and the mistreated

Hebrews 13:1-3 | Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.

  • What does showing hospitality to someone mean? How is it linked to loving someone or putting them first?

  • According to Hebrews 13, who should we be hospitable and thoughtful towards in our service? Why?

  • Which of these types of people do you currently serve and which do you overlook? Why? What needs to change?

  • Practically and specifically, how can you show love to –

    • Strangers?

    • Prisoners?

    • The mistreated?
