EMPOWERED Gentleness: God’s gentle wisdom

James 3:17 | But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

  • When does God give us wisdom (direction)? What does He give us wisdom about?

  • The wisdom and direction God gives you will always be each of the things below. Think about what each of these things means and how they relate to God’s directions:

    • Pure

    • Peace loving

    • Gentle

    • Willing to yield to others

    • Full of mercy

    • Shows no favoritism

    • Is always sincere

  • Are there any areas where you aren’t showing gentleness? If so, seek God’s wisdom and ask for His help by spending some time in prayer about it today.
