Overcomer for the OUTSIDER: All one in Jesus

Galatians 3:26-29 | For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

  • How would you explain the meaning of or summarize this passage?

  • If God doesn’t view anyone as an outsider, why do we?

  • What, if anything, needs to change in how you view or treat others, especially those who are different from you or that you would consider an outsider?

  • God sees us as “all one in Christ Jesus.” This means we shouldn’t see others as outsiders, but it also means we shouldn’t feel like outsiders among other believers. Do you ever feel like an outsider at church, in your small group, or around other followers of Christ? Why? What needs to change?
