Overcomer for the OUTSIDER: Being light to an outsider

Isaiah 49:6 | He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”

  • God ordained (or chose) Jesus to be a light outsiders. What does this mean? How did Jesus live as a light, especially to Gentiles (or non-Jews)?

  • Now, God’s followers should be lights to outsiders. What does that look like today?

    • In what way is your life a light for outsiders?

    • Do you shine just as brightly to outsiders as you do to people you like, who are similar to you, or that you are comfortable with? In what ways or why not?

  • What attitudes or behaviors could keep you from being a light to outsiders specifically? Is there anything you need to change?
