Jesus the peacemaker

Romans 5:1-2 | Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

  • Why did we need a way to be made right in God’s sight?

    • What made us “wrong” or “unrighteous?”

    • Why couldn’t we make ourselves right on our own?

  • What did Jesus do to make a way for us to be made right or forgiven?

  • Before we have peace with God by accepting Jesus as Lord, we are God’s enemies. Why is this?

  • Do you have peace with God or are you His enemy? How do you know?

  • What privileges do we have when we are right in God’s sight and at peace with God?
