Journey: Sinner needing a Savior: Sin separates

Isaiah 59:2 | It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

  • Why does sin separate us from God? If you’re not sure, think about God’s nature and perfection. 

  • Does God want to be cut off from us? How do you know? 

  • If you are a follower of Jesus, have you ever felt like there was distance between you and God after following Him because of your sin? 

    • How does God use that feeling of distance or separation? 

    • Do you feel close to God right now? Why or why not? 

  • Does God give up on people who sin? What needs to happen so that He will listen or so that the relationship between Him and the person who sinned can be restored?
