The Talents: Wholehearted Service

Colossians 3:23-24 | Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.

Romans 12:11 | Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

• In the parable of the talents, how did the first two men work wholeheartedly for their master?

• In the parable of the talents, what made the third man lazy?

• Have you been serving God lazily? Half-heartedly?

  • At home?

  • At school/work?

  • At church?

  • In your neighborhood?

  • In your community?

• How would looking at everything you do as a way to serve God change the way you work, learn, study, play, pray, give, clean, serve, sleep, etc.?

Everything you put your hand to is an opportunity for you to serve God whole-heartedly. Keep that in mind today!
