Journey--Surrender: Unshakeable in the waiting

Psalm 62:5-8 | Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. 

  • What does it mean that the Lord is a rock? A fortress? A refuge? [If you’re not sure, look up the definitions of these words!]

  • According to Psalm 62, where is the only place victory comes from? 

    • What are some other places or people you look to for victory? 

    • Do you trust God to give you victory when you face an impossible situation? Why or why not? 

  • Psalm 62 says- “I will not be shaken.” What does unshakeable faith look like?
