Deborah: Trusting God without fear

Joshua 1:9 | This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  • Have you ever faced a situation that made you worried, afraid, or discouraged?

      • If so, what/when?

      • Why did you feel this way?

      • Did your fear and worry help you face the situation or make it more difficult? Why?

  • Joshua 1:9 tells us not to feel this afraid or discouraged because God is with us wherever we go. How could remembering this calm your fears and concerns?

  • Why is important to focus on God instead of fear when you’re facing difficult circumstances? (Remember Barak!)
