Samson: Tackling Temptation with the help of Jesus

Hebrews 2:18 | Since he [Jesus] himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

• When you are tempted, do you usually run to Jesus for help or away from Him to hide?

• Jesus experienced temptation so He is able to help us when we are tempted. How can you ask Him for help? How will you remember to do this the next time temptation comes?

Hebrews 4:16 | So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

• What are mercy and grace?

• When are mercy and grace needed?

• Based on Hebrews 4, if you do mess up and allow temptation to drag you away into sin, what can you still do?

• Do you need God’s help now to overcome temptation or sin? Go straight to His throne now (in prayer) for help!
