Journey--Leave a mark: Making disciples

2nd Corinthians 3:1-3 | Are we beginning to praise ourselves again? Are we like others, who need to bring you letters of recommendation, or who ask you to write such letters on their behalf? Surely not! The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.

  • What good work did Paul do that can be seen in the lives of the Corinthians? How did he leave a mark on their lives?

  • Who’s lives have you ‘marked?’ In what ways?

    • Have you marked anyone’s life negatively? Who and how?

      • How could going to these people now to apologize and to share your story make a difference in their lives now?

    • Have you marked anyone’s life positively? Who and how?

    • Have you marked anyone’s life with Jesus? Who and how?

      • How can you live so that the mark you leave on everyone is one that shows or points to Jesus?

      • Will you do this? Why or why not?
