Journey--COME: God’s love displayed

1st John 4:9-10 | God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

  • How did God demonstrate His love for you? 

    • How was this an act of love? What did it cost God? 

  • Did we deserve God’s love or a way of rescue? Why or why not? 

  • God didn’t wait until we chose Him to provide a way for salvation. How does this prove His love? 

  • This passage describes “real love.” How does this compare to worldly love? Why is remembering that God’s love is different from worldly love important?
