Battle Ready: The heart of the battle

Colossians 1:13-14 | For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

• Colossians 1:13-14 helps us understand the role Jesus’ death played in the spiritual war that is occurring. It also shows us what this war is all about. How would you sum up the heart of the spiritual battle that is happening between Jesus and Satan according to this passage? 

• What is the goal of each side? Why?

• Do you think every human is already on one side or the other? Can they switch sides? Why or why not? 

• Thinking about the heart of the battle, if you’re a soldier in this battle on the side of Christ, what is the purpose of your fight? How can you keep this in the forefront of your mind?
