1st Thessalonians 2:4 | For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.

  • What does it mean to be entrusted with something? 

  • What have God’s followers been entrusted with? Why? 

  • What struggle is represented in 1st Thessalonians 2:4 that could keep someone from sharing Jesus with others? 

  • In what ways do you struggle with wanting the approval of others? Have you ever let this stop you from sharing Jesus with others? When? 

  • Instead of focusing on pleasing others, who should we want to please with our words? How can remembering this help you share the Gospel the next time the opportunity arises?
