Breastplate of righteousness: Righteous company
Proverbs 2:20 | So follow the steps of the good, and stay on the paths of the righteous.
1st Corinthians 15:33 | Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”
What instructions are you given in both of today’s verses?
What company do you keep? In other words, who do you hang out with? Think through not only close friends, but people you are in proximity with on a regular basis.
Would you describe these people as “good company” or “bad company”? Why?
If any of your company is “bad” company, what will be the result? How have you seen this in your own life?
If your company is “good,” what will they help you do? Why is this? How have you experienced this in your life?
Based on your answers, do you need to change your company? In what ways?
Thinking about the result of good and bad company, are you good or bad company for those you are around? Why/in what ways? If you are bad or sometimes bad company, what needs to change? [Be specific!]
