Satan’s strategies: Convincing the blind they can see
John 9:39 | Then Jesus told him, “I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind.”
Revelation 3:15-17 | “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.”
What does it mean to think you see while actually being spiritually blind? How is this possible?
Why is a person who thinks they see (spiritually) more dangerous than someone who knows they are blind? How does this relate to the hot, cold, and lukewarm in Revelation?
Have you ever truly understood and admitted that you are “wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” or a sinner in need of a Savior?
If so, when?
If not, why?
Is there any chance that you’re the blind who thinks they see or the lukewarm? Why or why not? [If you’re not sure, ask the Lord!]
If someone has been living under the illusion that they are a believer, but they actually aren’t, what should they do?
