Samuel: Hearing & Following God Requires Action
James 2:17-18 | So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”
What is faith?
Do you have faith in what God says (through His Word and through His Spirit)? Why or why not?
According to James, faith in what God says should result in what?
Do your actions prove your faith in what you have heard from God? In what ways or why not?
How will you make sure you live each day like Samuel, listening for God’s instruction and then living them out? What or who can help?
