Prince of Peace: Waiting on the Lord’s return

James 5:7-8 | Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.

• Why are God’s people waiting for Jesus’ return? When will it happen?

• We should wait patiently, eagerly, and with courage according to James. Which of these is easy for you? Which is difficult?

• If Jesus returned today, would you be ready? Why or why not?

• If Jesus returned, who do you know who wouldn’t be ready? How are you pointing them to Jesus?
