The law shows we need Jesus: Sin record erased

Colossians 2:13-14 | You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

  • What transformation does Colossians 2:13-14 describe? How did Jesus make this transformation possible?

  • If you listed your sins all in one place, what would it include? How long would it be?

  • What happened to that record when Jesus died on the cross? How?

  • Have you accepted Jesus’ payment for your sins?

    • If yes, when? If not, why?

    • If you have, how have you experienced the transformation from being dead in sin to being alive in Christ? What in your life has changed?
