Jesus loved God by obeying Him: Obedience is a testimony

John 8:29b | “For I always do what pleases him.” 

John 14:31 | But I will do what the Father requires of me, so that the world will know that I love the Father. 

• Why did Jesus choose to obey and please the Father? 

• How did Jesus’ obedience show the world who Jesus was and what His life was about? 

• How can your obedience or disobedience show people what you believe and value (consider most important)? 

• Look at your obedience/disobedience, especially around your peers/friends. 

  • What does it show you value most? 

  • If this isn’t Jesus, how is your obedience/disobedience impacting your testimony? Why is this a problem? 

  • If you do choose to obey, do you let people know why you choose to do what is right? If not, how is this impacting your testimony? 

• How can you boldly (but humbly) use your obedience to point others to Jesus?
