The Prodigal Son: Help in the struggle because of the Son

Hebrews 4:16 | So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

  • Mercy is not getting what you deserve. When do you need mercy? What for?

  • We need mercy when we sin. In light of this, what are we supposed to do when we sin according to Hebrews 4:16?

  • When you mess up, do you feel like running away from God or towards Him? Why?

  • What does God want you to do when you mess up? Why?

  • If you are God’s child, His Son’s blood covers your sin and has already paid the price for your mistakes. How can remembering this help you when you act like the lost/prodigal son?
