What is joy? How is it different than happiness?

Psalm 43:4 |There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!

Psalm 16:11 | You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

  • According to Psalm 43:4, where does joy come from?

  • Why would joy and praise be connected?

  • If joy comes from God’s presence like Psalm 16:11 says, what can we do if we aren’t full of joy like we should be as God’s follower?
