In the Beginning - Our great enemy

1st Peter 5:8-9a | Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. 

• Why is the devil, or Satan, called our enemy?

  • What does Satan want for people who do not know God? 

  • What does he want for those who already follow God? 

• What does 1st Peter 5 mean when it calls Satan a prowling lion looking for someone to devour? 

  • Can you think of examples of Satan acting like this in the Bible?
