Samuel: An Amazing Promise

John 10:27 | My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

  • Before Samuel knew God, He didn’t recognize His voice. As Samuel grew older and followed God longer, do you think it got easier for Him to recognize God’s voice? Why or why not?

  • Jesus says His sheep listen to His voice, but first, His sheep (or followers) must recognize His voice. Do you feel like you can recognize God’s voice when He speaks to you? Why or why not?

  • If God’s followers aren’t sure that it is God speaking to them, how can they find out?

  • Read John 10:27 again. Do you live like the sheep (follower of God) Jesus describes in this verse? In what ways or why not?
