Samuel: Hearing & Following God Requires Action

James 2:17-18 | So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

• Do you have faith in what God says (through His Word and through His Spirit)? Why or why not?

• According to James, faith in what God says should result in what?

• Do your actions prove your faith in what you have heard from God? In what ways or why not?

• How will you make sure you live each day like Samuel, listening for God’s instruction and then living them out? What or who can help?
