Distractions: Useless arguments

2nd Timothy 2:14 | Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them.

  • What is a “useless argument?”

  • What are some useless arguments you’ve been involved with in the past? 

  • What are some other useless arguments that distract God’s followers?

  • How can these types of arguments “ruin those who hear them” or get in the way of unbelievers getting to know Jesus?  

  • Are there any arguments you’ve been hanging onto that God is calling you to lay down or give up so that you’re not distracted from Him? If so, what about and will you do it?
