Shield of Faith: God is our shield

Psalm 33:20-22 | We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.

• Who is our shield? How is a shield related to faith in the armor of God? 

• Why is it important to realize that the shield isn’t our own faith? If the shield was our faith, how would it change in size and strength over time? Since it isn’t, what is true instead? 

• How have you experienced God acting as a shield in your life? What has he protected you from?
