Shield of Faith: Thanksgiving

Psalm 77:10-12 | And I said, “This is my fate; the Most High has turned his hand against me.” But then I recall all you have done, O Lord;  I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.

Psalm 28:7 | The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

• Why is it important to remember how the Lord has acted as your shield in the past? 

• How does remembering the Lord’s past works build your faith? How can this help when you’re in the middle of a battle and feeling like you’re facing a giant?

• What should our response be when we remember how God has protected us in the past?
