The battle is the Lord’s: Stay calm
In 2nd Chronicles 20, we saw that Jehoshaphat’s battle belonged to the Lord. Check out the context of Exodus 14 and then answer the questions below -
Exodus 14:13-14 | But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”
Who was facing a battle in this passage? Who was their enemy?
How did God provide victory?
What did standing firm look like in this battle? (How does Moses instruct the Isarelites to act?)
How can God use you calmly standing firm when battle rages? What does that show unbelievers around you? How can it encourage believers?
Do you tend to remain calm and have peace in moments of struggle or do you get anxious, fearful, and overwhelmed? Why?
What have you learned from Moses, David, and Jehoshaphat that you can apply to help you respond calmly in faith instead?
