GRACE - Clothing yourself with grace
Colossians 3:12-14 | Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
Mercy is not giving someone the consequence they deserve. Do you ‘wear’ tenderhearted mercy toward others? In what ways? If not, what needs to improve?
How are you doing with showing kindness to others? When or with who do you struggle to be kind?
Humility puts others first. Are you living in humility or do you put yourself before others? In what ways?
Do you treat others gently? In what ways?
Are you patient with others? When is it hardest for you to be patient with others?
How can “putting on” mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience help with showing grace to others when they don’t deserve it?
Colossians 3:14 says above all, to put on love. How does true love for others help you show grace and the other characteristics in Colossians 3?
